The Ultra Music Festival is set to fire up on March 23rd this year, and continues for three solid days of stellar entertainment. This festival was started in 1999 by two business partners, Alex Omes and Russell Faibisch who just wanted to hold an EDM – Electronic Dance Music party named Ultra Music Festival.
The following year, the response for Ultra Music Festival was intense and the EDM festival grew from one day to two in 2007. As of 2011, the Ultra Music Festival is three days, and this year the mega festival sold out in record time and is one of the highest grossing EDM festivalsin the world. Ultra Music Festival has been referred to as the “modern Woodstock” and features droves of young people, dancing and trancing to the music of their generation.

In 2012, Ultra Music Festival is featuring a DJ Mix Competition, where aspiring DJs are encouraged to upload their own mix. One lucky winner will be chosen, and will get the VIP treatment at Ultra Music Festival, with flights to and from the festival, full accommodation and a three day all access pass to Ultra Music Festival. The selected DJ will play a full 60 minute set to a massive crowd at Ultra Music Festival and walk away with Aerial7 A list headphones worth $400.00.

Avicii (Tim Berling) a Swedish DJ is super excited about being this year`s headliner at Ultra Music Festival. Undoubtedly, with the release of his chart topper Street Dancer, this will be his year to shine at Ultra Music Festival. In 2011, he was ranked in the top 6 of the top 100 DJ list.
Groove Armada – a british duo with some stellar hits, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato have been mixing it up since about 1995. They are best known for their top track “I see you baby (shakin that ass)”.
Carl Cox – formerly known in the 1980s as the “3 deck wizard”, for his stellar talent of running three turntables simultaneously. He managed to perform at two countdowns to 2000 by flying between time zones for Ultra Music Festival.
Bloody Beetroots DJ set –features Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and Tommy Tea and is an “Italian dance-punk” music collaboration. They wear black venom masks while they perform their songs at Ultra Music Festival and one of the most notorious of their new releases is “Church of Noise”.

Sunday, March 25 at Ultra Music Festival features Chase and Status, Bloody Beetroots (DJ set), Keys n Krates, Nic Fanciulli, Popof, David Guetta, Layo & Bushwacka! The music will be performed at Ultra Music Festival, as it has in past years, in ten large tents, set up to look like the inside of a various dance clubs. It has been said that the Carl Cox tent was the most elaborate of the ten at last year’s EDM festival.
