Hurricane Sandy Flooding Creates Mould and Mildew Up and Down Eastern Seaboard

0

New Technology Lets Hurricane Victims Fight Back against Mould & Mildew!!!

Mould and Mildew Removal

New Jersey: Homeowner and business owners have been dealt a harsh blow as Hurricane Sandy has created massive floods up and down the coast. The water is now gone but now homeowners and business owners are stuck cleaning up the mess. Mould and mildew are growing rapidly and insurance adjustors and contractors are over whelmed.

Flooded crawlspace and flooded basement problems are everywhere, mould and mildew is growing fast. What’s worse the crawlspace’s and basements are really starting to smell. Fish and sea odor can be unbearable and carry with it hidden pathogens, like viruses, bacteria and mold spores.

With the massive amount of storm damage and flooding the residents are being forced to do a lot of the clean-up themselves. This poses as many problems with health and safety for the clean-up crews and residents as the mould and mildew itself.

In the past homeowners and building owners were forced to hire expensive Environmental Mould and mildew removal companies to do this kind of clean up but now there is a new emerging technology that promises to offer relief to the millions affected with mold and mildew and odor problems . What is this amazing new technology? It’s activated oxygen or ozone gas!

Ozone has been used for over 75 years to destroy odors after fires and floods but in the past the only equipment available cost thousands of dollars and was way out of the realm of reasonable for regular homeowners and commercial building owners to afford. The same is true for mold removal or mold remediation. Many victims of Hurricane Sandy were caught without insurance coverage and can’t afford to hire very expensive mold remediation contractors .

Now there is hope for thousands of uninsured victims and a way to deal with all of the mold, mould spores, and odors. National Mould Expert Charlles Bohdy has created a high powered ozone blaster, The Bio3Blaster, that any family or neighborhood can afford. Over 13 years ago Charlles developed the Countries first Green or All Natural Mold Removal system, after he discovered that chemicals used widely are actually poisonous and ineffective. Charlles also is the Author of Got Mold, Now What? Several years ago Charlles was frustrated at the lack of good knowledge available to homeowner and contractors and created the first truly high powered ozone cannon capable of blasting and destroying mold and mold odors as well as viruses bacteria and mold spores…. He also created the All Natural Mold Removal System and All Natural Mold Removal Pro Systems which teach regular Joe homeowners and even Professional Mold Contractors how to copy his amazing all natural mold remediation system.

Mould and Mildew removal

The Bio3Blaster Ozone machines and the system are available for less than 500$ and offer real answers to solving age old mold mildew and odor problems that flooding and Hurricane Sandy has created! Click here for more information on Mould and Mildew Removal.

Miami, Florida is a sprawling cosmopolitan city known for its deep cultural heritage, over the top personality and wide array of entertainment.

The Hispanic and Caribbean influence soon becomes evident upon arrival. From Spanish conquistadors to immigrants from neighboring Latin-American nations; Spanish-speakers have played a huge role in the evolution of Miami.

Cubans have had a presence in the city for awhile thanks to Cuba being in such close proximity to Miami. After Fidel Castro’s rise to power in 1959, the influence of Cubans further increased as waves of them left their homeland to flock to Florida’s shores.

Cubans brought with them unique styles of music and dance, such as rumba and conga, as well as their language and delicious food.

Jack Penrod’s Proclamation Ceremony at Nikki Beach

0

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jack Penrod’s Proclamation Ceremony at Nikki Beach

April 17, 2024 Named Official “Jack Penrod Day”

By the City of Miami Beach and Miami Dade County Officials

Miami Beach, Florida (April 17th, 2012) - On Tuesday, April 17, an exclusive group of Miami Beach residents, politicians and state officials gathered at the world-renowned Nikki Beach Club to celebrate its founder Jack Penrod.

After 25 years in business on Miami Beach, the State of Florida, Miami Dade County and the City of Miami Beach proudly honored Mr. Penrod with a Proclamation to celebrate the phenomenal success of Nikki Beach and his contribution to the successful transformation of the surrounding area. As a tribute to Mr. Penrod’s undeniably important role in changing the face of South Beach forever, the City of Miami Beach and Miami Dade County, officially named Tuesday, April 17, 2012, “Jack Penrod Day.”

Amongst the guests on Tuesday evening were Ms. Ana Rivas Logan (The Honorable Representative for the State of Florida), Mr. Luis Garcia (Florida House Representative), Mrs. Lynda Bell (The Honorable Commissioner for Miami Dade County), Mr. Russell Benford (The Honorable Deputy Mayor of Miami Dade County) and Mr. Michael Gongora (The Honorable Commissioner for the City of Miami Beach) whom were eager to celebrate both Nikki Beach and the man behind it, Jack Penrod.

While his business is legendary, few know the man behind the Nikki Beach vision. Jack Penrod, an avid diver, pilot and all-around outdoorsmen built his empire from the ground up. His illustrious career in business now spans the globe, with locations in 8 countries and a lifestyle brand that reaches even further. But the Nikki Beach founder had a modest start. A hard-worker and aspiring entrepreneur, he joined the McDonalds Restaurant Corporation in 1969 as a line cook making $.85 an hour. Due to his innate marketing skills, he put his savvy into over-drive and moved up the ranks at warp speed. Mr. Penrod eventually became the largest franchise owner in the State of Florida.

After his success with McDonalds, Jack Penrod turned his attention toward the entertainment, nightlife and hospitality industry, opening several clubs in Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. His success with Penrod’s Beach Club in Ft. Lauderdale was astronomical and it seemed everyone wanted to get in on the action. The City of Miami Beach, in particular, was interested in having Mr. Penrod open a business in South Beach on the once sleepy Ocean Drive.

Previously a dilapidated part of Miami Beach, more popular with retirees than trendsetters, the South of Fifth area of South Beach is now one of the most sought-after and exclusive neighborhoods on the beach. Jack Penrod has played a major role in the neighborhood’s transformation since the mid-80’s with the opening of Penrod’s Beach Club in 1988. For two years in a row, first in 1984 and again in 1985, a delegation from the City of Miami Beach and the Greater Miami

Convention and Visitors Bureau approached Jack Penrod about bringing his successful Ft. Lauderdale business, Penrod’s, to South Beach. Mr. Penrod turned Ron Kent, the director of the GMCVB, down in 1984 after studying Ocean Drive and finding it was crime-ridden and unsafe for his staff.

Then, in 1985, City of Miami Beach Commissioner Bruce Singer approached Mr. Penrod again on behalf of the city and asked him to reconsider; Mr. Singer asked Mr. Penrod to create a “wish list”, promising that the City would do whatever it could to bring his successful business to its streets. After careful consideration, Mr. Penrod compiled his terms and the city gratefully welcomed Penrod’s.

Ever the savvy businessman, Mr. Penrod spent the first few years creating a buzz all over the country about Penrod’s Beach Club coming to Miami Beach before actually opening the $4 million entertainment complex at One Ocean Drive. After 3 full years of legendary parties all over the country, cutting edge marketing campaigns and the success of the beach concession from 1st Street to 14thStreet, Penrod’s Beach Club opened its doors and changed the face of the neighborhood forever.

Nine years later, tragedy struck and Mr. Penrod’s daughter, Nicole, was killed in an auto accident. Devastated as he was, Jack Penrod decided that, rather than mourn his daughter’s passing, he would celebrate her life for years to come. In 1997, after a complete renovation, Nikki Beach Club was opened. The venue and its sister properties all over the world are a continuing homage to Nikki Penrod and the Nikki Beach brand is meant to exemplify all that she was as a person; beautiful, fun-loving, a trendsetter and cutting edge in every way.

The Nikki Beach brand has become the premier luxury entertainment lifestyle brand in South Florida and the world. Not only has the venue made its mark on South Beach, but the brand has shined a spotlight on Miami Beach all over the globe, with locations in St. Tropez and Cannes in France; St. Barth in the Caribbean; Marbella and Mallorca in Spain; Cabo San Lucas in Mexico; Koh Samui in Thailand, at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada, Marrakesh in Northern Africa and Miami Beach in the USA.

Attendees were honored to be a part of the State, County & City’s expression of gratitude and congratulations to Mr. Penrod on Tuesday and thrilled to be a part of honoring a large piece of Miami Beach History.

What To Expect From The Miami Winter Music Conference 2012

WMC The Miami Winter Music Conference 2012 | EDM Live

written by: D E Bradley

EDM Music News - Winter Music Conference

The Miami Winter Music Conference is not simply just another music festival. Winter Music Conference includes a host of top events, which are both entertaining and informative, that draws in crowds and industry professionals from across the globe. Its status and calibre commands so much respect that it has become one the most anticipated and well-attended events in electronic and dance music – and Winter Music Conference is indeed on the American musical calender.

Now into its 27th year, the Winter Music Conference has developed into the largest of its kind - making it essentially the SXSW of the dance world - and it generates the same level of excitement as other key American music events such as Coachella. It is estimated that in 2011, over 100,000 people attended the event, which brought over 1400 artists to 403 events and 89 venues. These staggering statistics show how far the event has come and, seeing as though there is no sign of enthusiasm for the event waning, it could expand further. It is now the highlight of the genre’s annual events, partly because of its party atmosphere and partly because it plays such a vital role.

The Winter Music Conference is so important because it is not just about dance parties and showing off current talent. A major aspect of the Winter Music Conference is the seminars and workshops available to help struggling artists and teach people about the industry. Showcasing up and coming artists is something the event prides itself upon, in the past it helped launch the careers of Lady Gaga and Rihanna and it continually gives budding musicians the chance to earn a critique of their demo at workshops. WMC’s role as a tool for the global industry rather than an ordinary event is no better highlighted than with the fact that last year more delegates from the media, record labels and producers attended than artists, and of these, only 62% were American.

This years Winter Music Conference – from March 16th to the 25th – looks set to rival previous years with another great range of seminars, discussions, events and competitions that will have fans entertained and informed all week of EDM Music. Winter Music Conference begins with the Opening Pool Party at the Surfcomber Hotel, which boasts a long list of artists performing and continues across the city in a week packed full of great events. The full itinerary of Winter Music Conference is far too extensive to list here, but highlights selected by the organisers include Q&A sessions with artists such as Grammy nominated BT, the International Record Collectors Show and “The Record” - a contemporary exhibition at the Miami Art Museum.

The majority of events of Winter Music Conference can be attended by all badge holders, however one of the most important annual events is unfortunately for delegates only – the International Dance Music Awards. This star-studded ceremony on March 22nd is a chance for Miami to celebrate the best in the industry, and in 2012 will be hosted by Daniel Glass with special appearance from many artists including DJ Shadow and Deadmau5.

This is just a taste of what to expect from the 2012 Winter Music Conference, but given the success and variety of events on offer in 2011, you can be sure that this 27th event will be just as exciting and satisfying for all concerned.

Booze? Hookers? Yachts? — IT CAN’T BE TRUE !!! …..item 1..UM scandal shouldn’t leave us ‘shocked’ (August 25, 2024) …

We’ve told these men since about seventh grade that their value is physical, not mental, and we’ve made excuses for them — padding grades, waiving rules, cleaning up messes. We’re at another one of those Capt. Renault moments in college football, showing why they should quit the pretense of "student athletes" and let the guys earn a living.

Everybody knows that scene in "Casablanca," when the police captain blows his whistle and shuts down Rick’s cafe — proclaiming himself "shocked, shocked" to find gambling. As a puzzled Humphrey Bogart asks what’s going on, a croupier hands Capt. Renault his winnings, which he pockets with a curt "thank you very much."

In the current drama, the role of the mortified gendarme will be shared by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and administrators at the University of Miami, who pocket millions from what are supposed to be amateur games. And the casino is any of the college football and basketball arenas on campuses across America.

You’ve probably heard about Nevin Shapiro, doing 20 years for running a near billion-dollar Ponzi scheme, and his devotion to UM football. He has confessed to providing cash, booze and prostitutes to Hurricane athletes who — he was amazed to discover — wanted nothing to do with him, once he could no longer provide all of the above.

Shocked, shocked! Nothing like this has ever happ … oh, wait a minute. It happens a lot, usually on a less-lurid scale.

Let’s see what we’ve got here:

We’ve got men, always the sensible gender, in the age range of 18 to 24, when they’re known for caution, judgment and maturity.

We’ve told these men since about seventh grade that their value is physical, not mental, and we’ve made excuses for them — padding grades, waiving rules, cleaning up messes. We’ve got television spending billions and colleges spending millions and coaches whose high-paying jobs depend on winning — which is done by honing skills that will bring fame and wealth to the few players who make it in the pros.

Then we’ve got wealthy boosters, some of whom will do anything — by which we mean anything — to bask in the reflected glory of their heroes. And, in the instant case, it all happens at a campus just across the bay from South Beach, which is not exactly Amish country.

Really, what could go wrong?

It’s not surprising that so many players or whole teams or entire athletics departments get in trouble. It’s surprising that so many men like Warrick Dunn, Tim Tebow, Myron Rolle and Christian Ponder emerge from this system with academic and ethical principles intact.

Just as news broke about Shapiro hosting parties in the VIP rooms of Miami Beach night clubs, lavishly entertaining Hurricanes at his million beachfront mansion, finding pelvic affiliates du jour for athletes and giving the university money he’d scammed from Ponzi victims, the NCAA was making another of its periodic reform efforts.

NCAA President Mark Emmert called about 50 campus presidents, athletics directors and other big gamers to Indianapolis this month for what he billed as a no-foolin’-this-time summit. Straight-faced, they announced a minimum "Academic Progress Rate" for eligibility in post-season tournaments, along with a proposal to raise the minimum grade-point average for recruits from 2.0 to 2.5.

That one will need some thinking. Universities that turn away nonathletes with 3.8 GPAs must agonize over a 2.5 for sports.

Emmert’s group did not address any new steps to handle sports agents, or their go-betweens, who court basketball and football prospects. It’s been more than three years since the NCAA Committee on Infractions asked the board of directors to really hammer coaches who cheat — nothing yet.

The obvious reason is that the NCAA, university presidents, TV networks, boosters, coaches and the pro teams that use colleges as a farm system like things just as they are. Everybody is making money — except the young men who sweat through two-a-day practices in the summer, risking crippling injury for the dream of a pro career that awaits only a few.

Like turning an aircraft carrier, it would take a while to change direction. But there are two honest choices: Revert to true amateur play — your students play ours — or stop the pretense and do openly what a lot of them are doing (or want to) anyway.

Nobody, least of all TV networks, would pay to see a pick-up team from FSU play just any group of Gator students. So that’s out.

Then let the NBA and NFL sponsor college teams, like baseball farm clubs, paying the coaching staffs, promotion departments and travel expenses while developing talent for their squads. Pay each player a salary, along with a guaranteed four-year education — but not necessarily in the same four years they play.

Unless they want to be students, and some can handle both academics and athletics, they should concentrate on sports. Then they can pursue a career in the big leagues — just as regular students try to find jobs.

If they don’t make it in pro sports, or if they last only a few years, they’ll have four years of college to fall back on. Those who wind up set for life with million-dollar seasons, fat endorsement contracts and broadcast jobs could pass the scholarship along to some kid who needs it — athlete or not.

And what about the boosters? Well, they could still do all their good works, if that’s what they’re interested in. And if they spent millions fawning over their heroes, who’d care?

If the criminal Ponzi schemer had thrown parties in the champagne room of a South Beach nightspot for members of the Miami Dolphins, rather than the Miami Hurricanes, would anybody be shocked, shocked?
