Zuma Restaurant Miami

0

Zuma, which opened its London restaurant in 2002, followed by outposts in Hong Kong andDubai; three months ago, it unveiled a downtown Miami branch in the Epic Hotel. These days, enough patrons pack Zuma’s Zen-like environs to make it crackle with energy. A spacious and stylish sake lounge up front pours more than 40 types of the libation, including Biwa no Choju, brewed exclusively for Zuma “from the waters of Lake Biwa in theShiga prefecture.” I’m not sure where that is, but the sake tastes good.

The bar area leads to a lovely, lofty dining room composed of glass, stainless steel, granite, stone, and raw Indonesian wood tables — a multitextured, taupe-toned palette. One wall of floor-to-soaring-ceiling windows offers a vista of the Miami River (the fish-eye view of the Brickell Avenue drawbridge opening is as interesting a visual as one can hope to glimpse from a restaurant seat). On the opposite side, a thoroughly exposed kitchen blends into the space and serves as a main focal point — especially when sparkler-like flares from the robata grill alight. The sushi bar is tucked toward the rear, next to a glowing wall of backlit orange-colored glass. Other ambient conditions were less favorable — the music was too club-like and the room so chilled as to feel refrigerated — but this is nonetheless an ideal arena in which to meditate upon executive chefRainer Becker‘s exquisite cuisine.

Zuma is “inspired by the informal Japanese dining style called izakaya,” according to its website. This implies all sorts of traditions, but in Japanese-American restaurants, izakaya has come to mean simply the serving of small plates of food as they issue from the kitchen. Sounds like it could lead to a haphazard meal, but Becker (who trained inJapan) or his sous chef reassembles each order into a sensible progression (larger plates following smaller ones and so forth), and the waitstaff seamlessly shuffles old plates off the table and new plates onto it. The team operates like LeBron‘s Miami Heat will — each worker seeming to know instinctively what the others are doing and thus what each needs to do to keep the flow constant. It is very NBA Zen.

Prime 112 Miami Beach Restaurant

Prime 112 One of Miami Beach’s Best Restaurants

written by: atgnottingham

Prime 112 is one of the best restaurants in Miami Beach, Florida. If you are planning a trip to Miami Beach then Prime 112 restaurant is definitely a spot you so add to your itinerary. You will not be disappointed if you choose to eat here.

Prime 112 is great for an intimate meal for couples or for family style dining in large groups. The portions of food which the Prime 112 serves up are huge. You will certainly not leave wishing you had more food. Unlike a lot of restaurants, the huge portion size does not mean poor quality food. This is a place where you receive generous amounts of high quality food, Prime 112 is fine dining at its best in Miami.

I have visited the Prime 112 on three separate occasions and been served by two different waiters. On both occasions I found the staff to be excellent. They are knowledgeable about the menu and the various foods they serve. One waiter in particular was very knowledgeable about wine selection and made some excellent recommendations which complimented our meals perfectly.

At Prime 112 our wait for our food was quite long on two occasions, up to 45 minutes. This is the one area where the restaurant could improve but on the whole I am willing to wait for good food. The atmosphere at Prime 112 more than makes up for it as the restaurant is an enjoyable place to sit and drink a glass of wine while you wait for your food. There is much more to the dining experience than the food and the Prime 112 understands this. The outdoor seats in particular are an excellent place to soak up the feeling of Miami Beach at Prime 112.

Prime 112 Decor

Prime 112 features trendy decor, contemporary fittings and stylish furnishing. This creates a modern and trendy feel in the dining room. The subdued lighting and close table positioning combine to create a vibrant and exciting night spot. The atmosphere is uplifting and creates a good vibe which enhances the excellent quality food.

The excellent service, contemporary design and an excellent atmosphere of Prime 112 are important to the Prime 112 but the absolute most important thing with any fine restaurant is the quality of the food. This is where the Prime 112 really excels.

Particular highlights of the menu are the biscuits or steamed king crab for starters. The Kobe beef meatballs are excellent as are the range of steaks, particularly the Filet Mignon. If you are a fan of seafood dishes I fully recommend the Chilean Sea Bass. This is one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. It is an excellent quality piece of fish cooked to absolute perfection. It is very tender, moist and packed with flavour.

At Prime 112 if you are eating in a couple you will be perfectly happy if you chose to share a starter and desert. At Prime 112 the portions are generous enough to allow this and it is a nice romantic way to eat. By sharing a starter, having a main course each and then sharing a desert you will both have more than enough to eat and both enjoy the intimate dining experience.

Prime 112 is directly across from Nikki Beach and Pearl Restaurant

written by: lilitmarkos

If you are looking for a great Miami Restaurant to unwind at and with great food to boot, then a visit to Pearl Restaurant Miami Beach should be on the very top of your list. I recently had the chance to go to the Miami Restaurant for a pre-tasting and I was bowled over, not just over its sophisticated layout design but also over the wonderful cuisine and gastronomic delights that its menu boosts of.

Upon entering the Miami restaurant, you can feast your eyes on the magnificent visual display of color and style, Pearl Restaurant Miami Beach’s choice of white dÈcor with orange highlights accentuated by the amber lighting gives the place a feeling of chic and comfort at the same time. The place is warm and welcoming, reflected by the courteous and efficient staff who will serve you as soon as you set foot inside the restaurant.*

Shorty’s BBQ is still smoking after 60 years in business and a fire that burned down the entire building years ago.
